Institutional Overview

As the sole state university in the Province of Antique, Philippines, the University of Antique (UA) delivers accessible, tuition-free higher education to tens of thousands of students across its main campus in Sibalom, external campuses in Hamtic and Tibiao, and extension campuses in Libertad and Caluya. UA offers a comprehensive array of academic programs spanning engineering and architecture, computing and information sciences, management and governance, arts and sciences, criminal justice education, technology and industrial education, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, teacher education, and maritime studies. Dedicated to serving its community—the Kasubays—UA drives regional socioeconomic growth and community resilience through targeted research in sustainable agriculture, marine sciences, engineering, and emerging technologies, alongside interdisciplinary initiatives in futures thinking, disaster risk reduction, educational innovation, and Kinaray-a cultural preservation. To advance its mission, the university actively fosters strategic linkages—collaborating domestically with regional higher education institutions, local governments, and national bodies like the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), while maintaining global academic partnerships to promote joint research, institutional benchmarking, and international mobility.
